Top Gun 1986 (ZX Spectrum)
Top Gun is a combat flight simulation game and was originally developed by ocean software in the UK.
It was originally released in the UK in December 1986 for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and ZX Spectrum and the following year for the Atari ST.
It features a vertical split screen which are both views of the cockpit and it also features 2 player dogfighting. Each player gets 3 lives and you have machine guns and missiles.
Top Gun was a commercial hit, with sales above 500,000 units by 1989, however it was slated the critics for its poor graphics and audio which when you see what was released just a year later you can understand where they were coming from…
